You now have the chance to fulfill your dream to go ski touring in the Lyngen Alps! A IFMGA certified guide who knows the Lyngen Alps and the summits in Kåfjord and Skjervøy, and will lead you to the best places for ski touring and the ultimate summit to sea experience.
The guide will choose terrain, routes, and mountains depending on the weather forecast and snow conditions. The duration of the trips in the Lyngen Alps will be between 2 and 6 hours, and depending on the route you will climb mountains up to 1500 meters. One of the ski touring trips are sail and ski, to one of the mountains on the Lyngen peninsula. You will travel by boat to the foot of the Taffeltinden mountain, and ski back down the Koppangen glacier to Koppangen Brygger to where you will stay.
Koppangen Brygger lays in the heart of the Lyngen Alps, 17 kilometers from Lyngseidet. Here you will share a double room or an apartment with up to 3 bedrooms. The apartments are in various sizes and has a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, livingroom/relaxation area, and terrace with a lovely view of the Lyngenfjord and the Kåfjord Alps. The biggest apartments has their own sauna. There is a jacuzzi for free use at Koppangen Brygger.
Koppangen Brygger has housed the filmmakers of skimovies like Oppdrag Nord-Norge and Supervention, with among other, Aksel Lund Svindal.
Program
Day 1: Arrival and check-in
You will be picked up at Tromsø airport. The drive to Koppangen Brygger will take approximately 2 - 2,5 hours including the ferry between Breivikeidet and Svensby. This afternoon you can relax and prepare for the skitouring trip tomorrow.
A 3-course dinner based on local products will be served in the restaurant in the evening. After dinner you can use the sauna and jacuzzi.
Day 2-3: Ski touring
After a good breakfast in the restaurant, you will meet your guide for a quick briefing on the route of the day including safety procedures.You will be transported to the location of the day and start climbing. The packed lunch will be eaten on the way up, or at the summit.
After an exciting day you will be served a 3-course dinner in the restaurant.
Day 4: Check-out
After breakfast it is time to check out and head home. It is possible to book an extra ski touring trip on the departure day. This has to be booked before checking in at Koppangen Brygger.

About Lyngseidet
Lyngseidet is the administration centre in Lyngen municipality in Troms in Northern-Norway, and has 768 inhabitants. At Lyngseidet you will find a few grocery shops, gas station, farmacy, liquor store, and a few other small shops. If you would like to rent ski touring equipment, you can do that at Elektro-Sport in Lyngseidet. Lyngeidet lays on the western side of the Lyngenfjord and is a perfect base for great nature experiences such as ski touring, and hiking, both summer and wnter.
