Join a fantastic long weekend with ski touring in Lyngen and Kåfjord. Perfect if you are looking for ski touring with a local guide (Arctic Nature Guide) in the Lyngen Alps, cozy accommodation and great service.
The ski tours will either be in the Lyngen Alps or Kåfjord Alps - depending on the weather and snow conditions. The most important thing for us is that you have a memorable experience.
Our local guide Henrik, Arctic Nature Guide, grew up in Manndalen and knows the region and mountains very well. Togethern you will decide upon which two summits you would like to climb as part of your 4-day package.
Basecamp is at Manndalen Sjøbuer, where you will stay in a newly renovated cabin by the fjord. All cabins have large windows towards the fjord, combined kitchen and livingroom with a sofa, bathroom, one bedroom and a loft. Enough space for 4 persons split in a bedroom and a loft (two single beds per room). Here you can relax after a day outside.
Program:
Day 1: Arrival and check in
Welcome to Manndalen Sjøbuer, check in is after 15:00. In the afternoon you will meet Henrik, arctic nature guide, and discuss the upcomming days and the ski tours.
The afternoon/evening can be spendt relaxing together in the sauna and jacuzzi or in the sofa at the cabin or by exploring the surrounding area.
Day 2-3: Guided ski tours
After breakfast in your cabin, don't forget to make a packed lunch for the days trip.
At the agreed upon time after breakfast, you'll meet up with Henrik and start on your summit to sea tour with amazing skiing.
Back at the cabin again you can relaxe together in the sauna and jacuzzi or in the sofa at the cabin or explore the surrounding area.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast it is time to check out and travel home. It is possible to book an extra ski tour before departure. (This has to be booked before arriving at Manndalen Sjøbuer.)
About Manndalen
Manndalen is a seasami village by the Kåfjord. In the summer the indigenious festival Riddu Riddu takes place here.
Ca 4-500 meter from the cabins you will find the supermarkets Coop Marked and Joker. The local pub Davás is about 1 km away, ask at Manndalen Sjøbuer about opening hours and events here.
