Welcome to Ascent Descent «The Lyngen Mountain Guides». Stay with us for your ski touring holidays in the Lyngen Alps. Accommodation in top class appartmenst and daily ski touring with locally experienced IFMGA guides.
If you are a group of 4-8 persons, we can offer an all-inclusive package. Relax and let the guides organize everything during your stay. The ski tours will be planned after your skills and wishes, while we also take the weather and snow conditions into consideration before deciding on the days trip. Here you will stay in modern apartments by the sea and togheter with Lyngen Experience we also include a ski and sail day.
The Lyngen Alps are world known for the amazing ski touring possibilities. Close by our accommodation are the peaks Russelvfjellet og Storgalten, and many more lesser known peaks.
Relax and enjoy life in modern apartments
Our appartment building consists of 6 high standard, newly renovated apartments with great sea and mountain views and all the amenities you could wish for.
1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments are available and located on the 2nd floor of the building. On the ground floor you will find a common living room, equipment room with special heaters to dry skiing/snowboard boots, a very nice wood sauna with ocean view and extra toilets and showers. All designed so you can have a great stay.
Food is important
We only serve local dishes like reindeer, cod or lamb at dinner.
The breakfast is «self-served» in each apartment, where you can prepare your lunch for the day as well.
We do not serve alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Program
Fixed arrival and departure day is saturday.
Day 1 - saturday: Arrival and check in
Arrival in Nord-Lenangen, check in at Lyngen Experience Apartments is after 15:00. Dinner is served in the evening and we will meet up to discuss the upcomming days with ski touring in the Lyngen Alps.
Day 2 - 7: Ski touring in the Lyngen Alps
We start the day with a delicious breakfast, and make our own packed lunches. After breakfast we head out for the days ski tour. Which summit we choose is based on your wishes and skills, as well as the current snow and weather conditions. One of the days will be a ski & sail day.
After returning to the apartments you have the possibility to relax in our sauna or gather togheter in the great common room. Dinner will be served in the evening.
Day 8 - saturday: Departure
After breakfast it is time to depart from the Lyngen Alps.
