Join us on a journey from coast to the plains through the history of Northern Troms!
The permanent exhibition “Møter-Encounters-Deaivvadit-Kohtamissii” focus on how the history of Northern Troms has shaped itself through meetings between people.
In the exhibition, visitors will be taken on a journey through the landscape from the coast to the plains. At the end we gather around the fireplace to listen to stories and music from Northern Troms.
The exhibition itself has a focus on the period around 1900, but also looks on the past and the future. The exhibition is texted in four languages - norwegian, kven, sami and english.
The exhibiton is located in Halti at Storslett, where also Nord-Troms Museum has their headquarters.
