Come and experience the Arctic light in the autumn. After two months of the Midnight Sun, the nights are starting to get dark again. This will give you the opportunity to spot impressive Northern Lights.

The colours in the nature also change, from summer green to the colourful yellow, red and more. Perhaps even white too, if you catch a glimpse of the first snow of the season.

  • Very remote place with view of the open sea and the Lyngen Alps
  • Choose between 5 days/4 nights (every Sunday – Thursday) or 4 days/3 nights (every Thursday – Sunday)

The five cabins and two apartments are well equipped, providing comfortable accommodation right by the water's edge. You can escape from your daily routines and stress, and find peace and tranquillity in the quietness of the Arctic nature. The cabins each feature a kitchen, lounge and private bathroom.

Day 1: Pick up in Tromsø either at your hotel or the airport and travel by minibus to XLyngen. This scenic trip takes about 2 hours and includes a ferry crossing over the Ullsfjord.

After arriving and checking in at XLyngen, you will be served dinner in the café before we head off on a short excursion. We will take you out into the nature for a Northern Lights workshop. It's an easy walk and we will show you some tricks to take good pictures of the aurora borealis (1 hour)

Day 2: After breakfast, we leave for a hike to the northernmost tip of the Lyngen Peninsula – Lyngstuva. We will walk along the coast until we reach the lighthouse and a small cabin where we can eat our packed lunches, which we made at breakfast (about 4 hours).

We will return to the camp around 14.00 (2pm). This will give you time to relax and explore your surroundings.

In the evening we serve dinner based on local fish or meat (a 2-course meal including non-alcoholic drinks).

After dinner, it is time to relax in the sauna and/or hot tub. Relaxing in the warm water while gazing up at the Northern Lights is an amazing experience.

Day 3: After breakfast, you can participate in optional activities like a sea safari by boat, a fishing trip in the fjord, a guided hike to a glacier or visit the local shrimp factory.

Alternatively, you can try to pick berries or mushrooms – the region is full of them.
